    Shakhtar Donetsk v Tottenham

    Shakhtar Donetsk win

Harry has made no secret of the fact that the Hull match Monday night is much more important than the UEFA Cup as shown by his decision to leave Cudicini, Modric, Palacios, Lennon & Woodgate at home, whilst King & OHara injured.

Keane, Defoe, Pavyluchenko & Corluka are all cup tied.

Dawson is the only recognised centre-back in the party whilst Bent & Campbell are the only strikers. Gomes is the only recognised 1st team goalkeeper.

I should imagine the team will be

Gomes, Chimbonda, Zokora, Dawson, Assou-Ekoto, Huddlestone, Bentley, Jenas, Bale or Gilberto, Campbell & Bent.

That leaves Jansson, Bale or Gilberto, Gunter, Bostock, Parrett and Dos Santos for the bench.

    Marseille v FC Twente

    Marseille

Marseille have lost only once in 2009 away at Sochaux and conceded only one goal in that match and the team is in great form at the moment. Geretz have almost full squad to choose from and all players are in top form so he could not make a mistake with starting 11. Marseille finished third in a hard group in CL and now they are in UEFA competition IMO one of the favorites for the top of this cup. On the other hand Twente played six matches in the UEFA cup group and won three of them at home ground but without any point from away matches. In the last one they lost against PSG 4:0 and now they will play against another team from France with similar attacking style like PSG. I have no many words for Marseille team, they are excellent team with world class players and Im sure they will go into this match highly motivated and full of confidence like in every match. Im pretty sure in Marseille win but i will take Marseille to win by two or more goals as i think it will be easy win for Marseille .

    Fiorentina v Ajax

    ajax or draw

The Dutch people call the duel between Ajax and Feyenoord Klassiker (The Classic) but this clash has lost some of its meaning, at least result wise. Feyenoord are closer to bottom than the top part of the table, while Ajax are 12 points adrift if leaders AZ. Therefore, the famous Dutch club is likely to focus on the UEFA Cup, but they also have to fight for the Champions League qualification through league finish. The title is obviously out of reach. Ajax were very inconsistent in the UEFA Cup this season, as they lost at Villa Park but won in Hamburg, while they also beat Zilina and drew with Slavia Prague

    FC Copenhagen v Man City

    Draw or Man City

For Manchester City its their one chance to bag some silverware this season and ease the increasing pressure on boss Mark Hughes.City and their new owners have had plenty of trials and tribulations in the Premier League this term but theyve impressed for much of the UEFA Cup campaign.

They topped Group A in a canter, despite sending out a markedly weakened team in their final match at Racing Santander.
Even on the injury front things are starting to look up for City - with Robinho passed fit after his thigh problem while Micah Richards should be okay after an ankle injury. Shaun Wright-Phillips, badly missed in the weekend defeat at Portsmouth, is also back after suspension.

And dont forget that City have been bolstered by the additions of Wayne Bridge, Craig Bellamy and Shay Given in the transfer window, all of whom are eligible to play.

    Lech Poznan v Udinese

    draw-draw

Going for Draw / Draw here with both sides not giving much away in there 1st leg tie. Poznan sit top of the Polish Divison One and have only lost the 1 at home in 8 scoring 15 and conceding 5 and they did beat Feyenoord away from home 0-1 to make the KO stages of the Waffa so the Italians wont have it all there own way in the Miejski and the Draw / Draw does look good esp with the Italians mentality???
