    Man Utd v Aston Villa

When was the last time MU lost to Villa in the league? 27 games and 14 years ago and that was at Villa Park and it’s hard to see them changing things this weekend. Since their long unbeaten run was ended by Chelsea, they have now lost 4 and drawn 1 of their last 5 league games and their downturn in form was compounded further with their most recent loss of a 5-0 drubbing at Anfield. MU have had their own problems recently with the loss to league contenders Liverpool, followed up by a loss at Craven Cottage. They certainly deserved to lose to Liverpool as individual performances across the team were poor but they were perhaps unfortunate not to get a goal back against Fulham before they conceded the 2nd. With suspensions for Rooney and Vidic (plus Scholes who probably won’t be missed after recent performances), they are lacking a couple of key players but they certainly have the squad depth to cover these positions. United will want to get back on track before their CL game next week and I feel they will throw everything into this game so it could become very open and with the pace in the Villa side they are still capable of scoring against opposition. 4 of the last 5 meetings at Old Trafford have ended as over 2.5 goals with 2x 4-0 results and 2x 3-1 results and I can see the later of the 2 scorelines happening in this game.

    Everton v Wigan

Everton lost last week to Pompey when I had backed them to win but to be fair, if I had known Cahill was not going to feature I would have avoided the bet. They certainly miss Arteta but with Cahill also out they are not the same team so him returning will be a good boost whilst Lescott continues to impress. They have only lost 1 home league game in their last 11 and remain unbeaten in their last 6 at home with results of 5 wins by a 2+ goal margin and a respectable 1-1 draw with Arsenal. Wigan have done well to reach 7th in the league this season and sit just behind the Toffees, but with the league being so tight this year it does flatter them slightly. They are a tough side and work hard as a team for manager Bruce and play in a manner that has seen them concede just 7 goals in their last 9 away league games and with Everton conceding just 3 in their last 7 home games we should be in for a tight game. The reverse fixture ended 1-0 to the home side and Everton may well be able to nick a winner at Goodson but if Wigan play well they should be capable of a draw given that these are probably 2 of the most balanced sides in the Premiership.

    AC Milan v Lecce

Excelent home statistics dropping pionts only three times at home all season ,Cant sea lowly Lecce taking anything here esspecially as they have only taken one piont from this fixture in last ten years in a 2-2 stalemate .Milan have dominated sincethen and every game has given up at least three goals so that seems the value to me in this match

    Juventus v Chievo

If there,s a gimme today then i think this is it Juve havent given a single piont to todays visitors in this fixture in the last ten seasons and given current league positions and Cheivo,s lack of goalscoring ability it looks pretty sure to continue this afternoon

    Atletico Madrid v Osasuna

Osasuna will struggle in this not won a single away fixture this season 0-7-7 managing to score only 8 whilst conceding only 18 which although a Madrid win looks the likely how it comes about could be the mystery however they appear to be back on track with home wins against Villerael and Barca

    Roma v Bologna

one in one out, Totti looks set to return for Roma but they will be missing Mirko Vucinic. Things have been going bad for the Giallorossi and they need to bounce back from the huge defeat handed to them by Juve. Bologna are striving hard to stay in Serie A but I believe they should be there for a beating against a Roma side gunning for Champions League next season.

    Udinese v Inter Milan

When Inter visit here the results are draw. So what about today?
Go for a level score by full time.

    Werder Bremen v Hannover 96

Werder Bremen have gotthrough on home form this season whearas Hanover are 0-2-10 scoring a meagre 8 goals whilst conceding 32 .Werder have hit the net 33 times whilst conceding one per game on average it doesnt help the away sides cause when you look at the last four times this tie has been played 3-0 5-0 3-0 6-1 home wins so ill take Werder to be in front at half time

    PSG v Nice

PSG must win this to keep their hopes of a champions league spot next season while Nice have nothing to play for having secured their place in ligue 1 next season and by being too far away from the top teams to hope for a european cup place.
Thats why I believe PSG will desperatively want three points this afternoon and put behind them their humiliating defeat 4-1 by Toulouse a fortnight ago and that as quickly as possible.

    Falkirk v Rangers

Rangers will have way too much in this game, chasing celtic they can\’t afford to drop any points. With macgregor and ferguson acting like t*ts, i think the rangers team will react well and make this easy - 3-1 pred

    Palermo v Torino

Palermo can take this. 10-0-4 at home which is what has kept them where they are and they take on a Torino side that have yet to win away this season managed just the one win from last ten games home and away and the win was only a one niller ,Lost their last 3 and Its only a second half eaqualizer that has stopped Palermo having a 100% home record last three matches at home against todays opposition reckon hey,ll win 2-0

    Valencia v Getafe
It is no secret that former Spanish giants, Valencia, are a club in serious financial trouble but their money worries were given a boost after they secured a 50 Million Euro loan. No one will be more happier with that news then the Valencia players who can now look forward to a handsome pay day. That should be a huge incentive for the players who will now feel a whole lot better knowing that they will eventually get paid for their work on the training pitch.

Valencia have had a hard time of things and the club were relying heavily on the squad making the Champions League next season. Despite their poor run of form which has seen them win just one of their last seven league fixtures, Valencia are still in contention in sixth position and a win at home to Getafe could see them close the gap on fourth placed Villarreal to just two points. Their recent results at home would indicate that Valencia have no chance of winning this fixture but we fancy the atmosphere in the Valencia dressing room to be a lot closer after their loan and that could be crucial in their bid to win back-to-back games in La Liga.

Getafes position of 13th does give the impression that they do have little to play for but that is far from the truth. They maybe five positions above the drop zone but they are just two points above Osasuna who occupy that final relegation spot. Attaining a positive result against Valencia this Sunday is a must by we fancy them to struggle as they have been very poor on their travels. They have won just two away games all season and it was eleven games ago since Getafe last won on the road. They have also lost their previous two away games against two of the poorer sides in the league. They lost 2-1 to Almeria while Valladolid got the better of them winning 1-0. Valencia have more talented players within their squad and that should tell come Sunday.

I really do like Valencias chances of winning back-to-back games against a poor travelling Getafe side. That loan could be more beneficial then many think and that will hopefully help Valencias bid for Champions League football next season.

    Valencia Home record: 8-3-3
    Valencia Home Goal Tally: 33-22

    Getafe Away Record: 2-6-5
    Getafe Away Gaol Tally: 16-22

    Selection:
Valencia to WIN – 3 pts

    Sampdoria v Napoli

I fancy Sampdoria to come out on top in a clash between two sides in the bottom half of the table. Sampdoria are coming off an excellent 3-1 win at Torino in their last game and they are in good form at home with victories over Milan in the league and Inter in the cup in recent games and they face a Napoli side that are struggling with injuries and suspensions and are not in the best of form with 4 draw and 7 defeats in their last 11 league games and they have picked up just 1 point from their last 6 away games.

    Roda JC v Ajax

Ajax travel to the German border with a sense of purpose after Twente shed some points yesterday with a draw in Nijmegen. Roda are scrambling to avoid relegation and have boardroom goings on with a possible merger with Fortuna Sittard. Few selection problems for the Amsterdam side, they have lost on the last 3 occaisions they played at Roda but if they want 2nd spot they should win this.
